maya deren.  visionary. filmmaker.  pioneer.  lover of haiti.   her statements are very much in line with how i view the female experience in art.  her work is currently showing in NYC at MOMA.  this sunday the 20th there is an additional showing of her films beyond the exhibition.  enjoy.
